Yesterday, I found a really interesting interview with the female blogger and journalist Noha Atef who has been blogging since 2006 on www.tortureinegypt.net. Obviously, she is blogging about torture in her home country Egypt. She decided to do more research after having read an article about violence in police stations. Noha Atef has a master's degree in "Social Media" (Birmingham City University) and is considered one of the most famous Egyptian bloggers.
Although she is blogging about a very sensitive topic, she states that humour is an important means of power in that people keep their emotional/ psychological strength. This is important insomuch, as they still have "a long way ahead" in which they need their energy.
